Elizabeth Hurley, Vanessa Paradis, Diane Kruger, Kylie Minogue, Uma Thurman and Johnny Depp are just a few names that spill out of John Nollet’s client list. The Parisian coiffeur, master with scissors and hair accessories, has been responsible for countless famous manes, on and off-screen. The French hairstylist opens up about his exclusively customized Louis Vuitton trunks that serve as his hair salon.

A few years back, Park Hyatt had partnered with Louis Vuitton to present a Tour of the World, featuring “Hair Room Service Around the World” by famous  and couture icon John Nollet.

Louis Vuitton did their exclusive bit by designing over-sized bespoke trunks for the tour. To mark the French luxury label’s 150 year anniversary of making custom-made suitcases, special Louis Vuitton hair trunks were produced by Les ateliers d’Asnières (where special ordered pieces are made) for John Nollet.

Featuring the signature monogram canvas with black leather trim, the bespoke trunks were designed to contain the necessary instruments and haute couture accessories to enable Nollet to cast his magic on the manes.

The design process took about one year and Nollet worked with a hundred LV artisans in France to painstakingly customize the perfect monogramed luggage to house his tools.

The hairstylist states that he was just dreaming about doing a world tour with Louis Vuitton suitcases and his dream materialized when he got in touch with the French fashion house’s PR

John sincerily expressed his desire, ‘I have this idea. I would love to do a world tour with Louis Vuitton suitcases and have a hair salon in the suitcases’ to which LV eagerly asked him to design his suitcases and they just shape to his dreams in their signature style.

After the success of the Hair Room Service Around The World (Buenos Aires, Shanghaï, Dubaï, Moscow, Tokyo, Chicago, Milan, Istanbul), John Nollet has unpacked his unique Louis Vuitton Hair Salon Trunks at Suite 101 at Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme.
