From 1929, G. Lorenzi (lorenzi.it) was the source in Milan for exquisite men’s accessories and cutlery artfully handcrafted from such rare materials as horn and ebony. But in 2014, much to the dismay of the business’s loyal followers, Aldo Lorenzi closed the historic store on Via Montenapoleone.
Late last year, however, the brand was reborn when the family-owned fashion brand Larusmiani—G. Lorenzi’s neighbor on the street for 62 years—acquired it. Now Larusmiani offers some 2,000 G. Lorenzi pieces ($85 to $7,700), from a gold-handled shaving brush to lighters, knives, and more. The items are available for purchase at Larusmiani’s Via Montenapoleone shop and, starting in June, on the company’s website (larusmiani.it).
