The Monte Carlo Whisky Festival returns to Monaco for the 5th consecutive year, in a celebration of Scotch and cultural exchange between Scotland and Monaco.
The Monte Carlo Whisky Conference is fast becoming one of the most prestigious events in the international whisky calendar. Dates for this event are the 3rd, 4th & 5th November 2016. Monaco, Monte Carlo focused on the topic of “Invest, Collect or Drink?”, hosted by La Maison d’Ecosse founded by Anita di Sotto, the overall aim, a cultural exchange between Scotland and Monaco. A three-day festival of tastings, talks and celebrations all centered around Scotland’s well known and finest export. Beyond whisky, they also bring artisanal Scottish luxury goods and food produce, bringing the best of Scotland to Monaco through art, music and sport.
THE MONTE CARLO WHISKY CONFERENCE
The Monte Carlo Whisky Conference begins November 3rd, under the patronage and in the presence of HSH PRINCE ALBERT II OF MONACO, the Honorary President of the Monte Carlo Whisky Society and Keeper of the Quaich. Hosted by the Monte Carlo Whisky Society in partnership with the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, Charles Maclean chairs the panel of the world’s leading whisky experts. Their focus turns toward the Glenrothes with Ronnie Cox, brand ambassador of Glenrothes and Berry Bros & Rudd, who will be their key presenter. The esteemed Panel of Experts on hand will include Charles Maclean – Patron of the Monte Carlo Whisky Society, Mr. Ronnie Cox – The Glenrothes, Dr Bill Lumsden – Glenmorangie, Dr Sam Simmons– The Balvenie, plus a Mystery Distillery. There will also be an auction of Glenrothes Limited Edition Bottling, The Dow’s 24 year Rare Single Cask.
ST. ANDREW’S GALA BANQUET
The St Andrew’s Gala Banquet, taking place November 4th, under the patronage of HSH PRINCE ALBERT II OF MONACO is being held in the Ballroom of the Yacht Club of Monaco. Being served is a splendid Five Course Dinner, paired with five Glenrothes expressions and promises to be an unforgettable organoleptic experience not to be missed! All the food, the whisky and the music will travel from Highlands of Scotland to entertain guests. During the reception, they will address The Haggis and celebrate all that is best of Scotland. The meal is prepared by Chef Christian Garcia of the Prince’s Palace and Chef Christian Plumail of the Yacht Club Monaco, with Martine Nouet, Food and Whisky Writer, Master of the Quaich.
THE ST ANDREW’S SCOTTISH CEILIDH
The St Andrew’s Scottish Ceilidh, takes place Friday 4th and 5th of November at the Yacht Club of Monaco Whisky, Cheese, Dessert, and Dancing to the Music of WHISKY KISS, “The Best Ceilidh Band in The World”.
