All Teslas will now be manufactured with hardware that will enable the vehicle to completely drive itself in all situations, CEO Elon Musk announced Wednesday.

“Before activating the features enabled by the new hardware, we will further calibrate the system using millions of miles of real-world driving to ensure significant improvements to safety and convenience,” Tesla said in a blog post.

Tesla released a video of one of its cars driving itself a day after Musk announced that all of its new cars, including the upcoming Model 3, will be outfitted with the hardware needed to achieve full autonomy.

The self-driving software is not finished and has yet to be approved by regulators, but the four-minute clip is still impressive, showing a Tesla leaving a garage, driving across town, and finding its own parking spot — all autonomously. Someone sat in the driver’s seat, per current legal requirements, but they never touched the Telsa’s steering wheel.
